341 Meeting - Now they have questions

We had our meeting with the trustee in early January, but now they've notified our attorney that they want more data...six months worth of check stubs, bank acct. records, IRA/401K statements, etc....

    Is this normal?

It seemed business as usual at the meeting and I thought this was finally going to be all behind us. Now this....

Thanks in advance for any replies.

We had to do this also. It was due to the combination of having a business and large amount of unsecured debt. Our lawyer told us this was normal that the U.S. Trustee would request this information. We provided it to him (the U.S. Trustee) and haven't heard a peep - and our lawyer said not to expect to, either.

    Chapter 7 Filed - 11/27/07
    Discharged - 2/29/08
Unsecured Debt Discharged - $162k +/- (small business, personally guaranteed)
    Finally Closed - 3/1/09

Nothing unusual............ normal proceedings with some Trustees.....

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

        Thanks, Yoyoma and Minny.

You along with my attorney's assistant (I've only spoken with the actual lawyer once!) have alleviated most of my fears.

        Thanks again,

I thought that was stuff you needed to have when you filed anyway?
I have a years worth of everything all filed away in different folders here in my file cabinet.
          7/01/10 - filed!
          11/20/10 - discharged and closed

            tay,

Yes, 'tis true. We had already provided the attorney with much of the data needed from June 1 through October (approximately), however the trustee has come back to us and requested data through Nov. 30. What's so strange is that I believe the attorney already has much of the information, but never bothered to check the file for it. I had to go to assistant and ask her what she did and didn't already have. However, she's been very good to help whenever I've called or emailed.
