My husband is filing bankruptcy and i signed a waiver to claim exemption form 703.140 what does this form mean. I am going to receive retroactive pay from social security disability. This is going into a personal account. I was wondering if the trustee can take this from my account to pay my husbands bills. we live in california(community property) and these debts were before the marriage the only debt is a truck during the marriage but my name is not on the loan and he is current with the payments. My husband makes a substantial amount of money, I would not think they would take the little income i do have.. :o
