    Saving to pay Attorney

What is the correct way of saving money to pay attorney. I need to wait a while before I can file, but meanwhile I need to put money aside. Do I draft cash from my account and keep it? Do I just let some money sit in the account and pay attorney? How did you do it? what works best and does not create problem? If I let some extra money to sit in the account at the end of the month, wont they say that is a disposable income and why did not you pay your creditors????????

Speaking for myself - my attorney wanted 1/2 to retain and the remainder before filing. I know some attorneys will ask for less than that (i.e. $250 - 500) to retain their services. Once retained you can forward any creditor calls to the attorney. Again this was my case so I am sure you will get many different answers.

Search for attorneys in your area and send them an email asking this same question - most will respond back.

Thanks for your response. What I really need to know is how to prove that if I have $200 money saved at the end of January (for example), it is to retain an attorney. Will these left overs push us to chapter 13, even though it will be paid to attorney?
