if i median income level is lets say $50,000 for a couple how can people who make alot more then that say that they qualified for a chapter 7 bk?

For one thing, your qualifying is based on the past 6 months from the day you file. Also, if you have legitimately higher expenses than average - like medical care or something that you really HAVE to pay -care of a health-challenged child for example.

Sometimes you can have a job that pays the same each pay period, and you wouldn't be able to "time it just right", which is where we stand.
