    Help me Please!!

I've run up 34,000 in credit card debt. This is from 19 different credit cards !
I've been on a payment plan with a ccs ( non profit) agency for the last 6 months but the payment of 850 is killing me. I only make 1500 a month and I could'nt make my last payment b/c of the hurricanes in florida. I told my ccs manager I was considering Bankruptcy b/c I can't afford the payment and she said "You don't want to do that" . Is that b/c they have a financial interest in my case? , Then I said the payments are too large and she replied "youre making the minimun". I need a resonable payment plan and don't forget I have to work with 19 different creditors. What should I do???

Erring on the nice side here,.......... Your Counselor probably didn't want you to file BK in haste. It's not a decision to be taken lightly. You should carefully consider all your options before you take the step to file BK.

We got a DMP prepared by one of the DOJ approved agencies. The payments would have been $100/month more than our current minimums. Which we already can't pay. So I can understand how you feel with an $850/month payment.

Do you not pay rent or eat?? I can't imagine how you can live paying over half your gross in a DMP payment??!!

With your low income, you'd qualify for a chap 7 if you needed to relieve the debt. You may be very close to having no choice, you'll never be able keep up on the payments. Do you have any assets to lose?
