I had my 341 meeting today with the Trustee. It went well...although I had to wait 2 hours and when I was finally called up, I was the last person in the room. It was really interesting to listen to the different cases before me....and I'm SO glad that I filed Pro Se and didn't waste my money on an attorney. There was one question that the Trustee asked me that is causing me to wonder. He asked "why are you filing bankruptcy...you appear to make decent money?" He asked everyone before me "why" they were filing, but never commented on their current salaries.
I answered honestly and my answer didn't spark any other related questions. Before I knew it, my meeting with the Trustee was over and he "closed" the case. Has anyone else had a similar experience with the Trustee commenting on their current income? I'm praying that he doesn't recommend converting my chapter 7 to a 13.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
