I REALLY messed up!

My 341 meeting was this morning...which due to several mishaps, I missed. I'm a pro-se filler. Is their any remedy? Can I re-file? I filed the current case two months ago. I completly freaking out here!

Call the trustee ASAP and see what options there are to reschedule and don't be surprised to see a Dismissal Motion in your case in the next couple of days.

But yeah, about the ONLY thing that you MUST do in a BK is attend the 341 meeting.

I didn't have the cash for an attorney when I originally filed two months ago but do now. Since my papers are (somewhat) in order...wouldn't I be better off just contacting an attorney NOW and re-filling? Still don't know if re-filling is an option if it's dismissed. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks for your previous post. I'll try and find the number for the trustee and call them ASAP as well.

Just talked to the trustee and I guess it's that old Texas hospitality or whatever...at any rate they reschedulled the 341 hearing for next month for me. Even told me that if necessary, they would do so one additional time before they dismissed the case. For the record, my car overheated in rush hour traffic on the way to the court and just stopped running. I'll take a taxi next time.
