    Creditor Matrix

I know the creditor Matrix is the form so the court can mail out notices to creditors for the 341 meeting. My question is, can I use the addresses listed in the credit reports? And what if the address on the report is wrong or the creditor uses another address for these types of letters?

Also another question. What if the original creditor sold the debt off to another company and I dont realize it but list the original creditor who sold the debt on my bk packet?

I would include all addresses, OC, collection agency, etc. And getting them off your credit report is fine.

Are you filing without an attorney? Your attorney generally knows which addresses to use. My attorney did not even require me to provide addresses, he just got everything from the Credit Bureau Reports.

Also, in many states - if not all - even if you forget to list a creditor, the debt is still discharged if you get a discharge in Ch. 7.

If you are doing this yourself, I would just list all the known addresses, pull all credit bureau reports the day before you submit the petition and use any addresses/creditors on there that might be different. That should cover your butt.

We were advised to not list the billing addresses for our creditors when we submitted that information. If you look on the back of your billing statements, there is a correspondence address that should be listed in addition to the address where to send your bills. If it is not, go to the company's/creditor's website under contact information - a correspondence address is almost always listed and/or there may be an address also listed for bankruptcy correspondence. If that does not work, call the creditor's customer service number and ask for the correspondence mailing address.

If BK notice information goes to the billing address, it may be delayed in reaching the proper hands or not get received at all.
