Special Circumstances w/Ch 7

Has anyone used special circumstances to reduce their income on the means test? I have, what I feel, is a special circumstance but lawyers say it is not allowed. My wife is sick and will not work for the foreseeable future. Her income will no longer be included in our budget.

The best way to work on it might be to wait until such point as she has not had a paycheck for 6 months.

Then in the bk filing she would have no income during the look back period, which means you wouldn't have to include any money she has earned prior to that.
