    Claims Bar date/Discharge date Question

Okay, so my no-asset case got switched to an asset case yesterday (trustee's dispursing our stimulus check out). That's about a 2% return of my debts. lol
Today on PACER it reads that the Claims Bar date has been set for 09/24/08 (90 days out from today). The objection to discharge still reads 08/05/08 (60 days out from my 341). Is the objection date my discharge date?

not necessarily. The bar date is the last date your creditors can file to get a slice of the stimulus check pie. Your case will probably discharge but not close for months and months . . . .

Just wondering when was your 341 meeting?

My attorney had told us they discharge you in the normal time which I do believe is the 60 days after the 341 but they don't actually close the BK until the asset $$ has been collected and dispersed.

My 341 was 6/6/08. So makes sense that my discharge date is 8/5/08 (60 days later). I don't believe my closing will be dragged on to long past the claim date because the trustee only has $2100 to disburse and all of our debt is unsecured non priority. He will just have to wait and see who files claim to do the simple math. Granted he will probably take at least $700 for himself. Not mine to worry about. Just wanted to know if my discharge date remains the same when changed to an asset case.
