    79 days and no discharge : (

Do you use PACER? If so, check your "status" to make sure there isn't some flag preventing autodischarge. Also check your "history"... if nothing has been filed lately it's probably just a matter of the administrative details getting taken care of. Hang in there...

        Hey Maxed,

I think you will be fine. As for the delay ... does everyone you know get everything done on time? The timelines are sort of estimates, aren't they? I'm sure the bk courts are experiencing, on account of the economy and housing crisis, a high volume of cases these days. Wouldn't surprise me if Congress has been slow to increase the court staffs in response to the increased caseload.

The key thing is you haven't gotten nasty notices from the U.S. trustee or from creditors right? Assuming you haven't, I'm sure you're good to go. Problem is they probably have a lot more cases than usual in this economy of people who are good to go.

I'm sure you'll be fine, and I look forward to reading your celebratory announcement on this board.

BK courts are being hit hard with BKs, I am sure they are a tad bit behind.

I waited 90 days and someone here recently waited 100.
If you had no objections within the 60 day wait then it's pretty much a done deal.
But I hope you hear soon, anyway, I know how you feel!

Awaiting Closing 04/09/2008 80 days Chapter 7 Trustee's Report of No Distribution

I was just getting excited thinking I would see our discharge soon.
I kinda figured it would go past the 60 days I read the thread about that but I honostley did not think it would get this far. I'm sure the middle district of Florida BK court is overwhelmed right now. I'll keep watching.

              Thanks

Hang in there, I think many districts are overwhelmed right now.
I know how hard it is to wait, you just want it to be OFFICIALLY OVER ONCE AND FOR ALL! Right?
It will happen, though. Give it another 10 days or so...
At this point, if you have not done so, I would call the court clerk for your district and ask them. Just play dumb and nice and say you wonder if maybe your case got lost in the shuffle, and you'd sure like to know that everything is okay... something like that.
I've heard of some cases where the clerk will go look, find it, and process it that day.
                Soon it will go through!

                    Maxed Out,

I am in the exact same place as you - 81 days past my 341 and no discharge. My case sounds similar to yours too - no asset, no problems, but for some reason no discharge either. I did e-mail my attorney and he said that based on court indications I could possibly receive my discharge today. He also said that none of his cased filed in March have discharged yet. I guess that makes me feel a little better, but I am still anxious as I know you are too. Hang in there and hopefully we will both receive our discharges soon.
