    Can Collection Agencies Object?

I finally dropped off the paperwork to my attorney yesterday. Phew.

Most of my debts have been turned over to collections by now and many of them have been passed around a couple times.

My question is, at the 341 Meeting of the Creditors, can the collection agencies object for any reason or is that just a right reserved for the original creditor?

    TIA,

The owner of any debt can object if they have a good reason however it sounds as though your debts may be old in which case I would not worry about it. Make sure your creditor matrix has every conceivable address to reach a creditor at.

Thanks, yeah, they've gathered some dust. I included all the credit agencies I could but I think I may have missed a couple.

However, I think the ones that I missed are not current CA's anyway. Once you tell them you are filing, they usually pass it back to the OC, who farms it out once again.

I returned from the lawyer's office yesterday to find yet another CA's message on my answering machine...not even sure what account it is..haven't called them back yet.

I would think it would suffice just to address any interim collection efforts by new CA's with the BK information.

      I would think.

Yes ep once you have it filed you should just give them the bankruptcy case number. In fact at this point I assume the lawyer is paid just give them his name and number and advise them to speak to your lawyer concerning the matter
