    how do i check pacer?

It's been 63 days since our 341 hearing, and I'd like to check on the status. I called my attorney and he just said 60-90 days, but didn't check anything, and I've not ever been able to get a pacer account, because it says "My firm already has an account" which I've yet to be able to access.
    Any help?

Well Jason, it is a catch 22, but you need a credit type card. It is 8 cents a page to look and/or download, in PDF format. You will then go to the PACER site and with a valid email account, they will give you a user ID and a password. There are many threads here to how to use. Do a search. You wish to go to Bankruptcy, and your last name then your last four digits of SS number. Then you will see you. Then History would be appropriate, and remember, what you read is 8 cents a page. I hope I have helped a bit. 'Hub

Can you access pacer at your local courthouse? I know there are some locations where you can do unlimited queries for free, although I've never tried it myself.

You Do Not Have To Use A Credit Card To Open A Pacer Acct.

Just for future readers' info - you can get a Pacer acct. without a credit card !!- This is what I did - went onto pacer clicked the option to have user name and password mailed to me - I got it in about 3 days - They will bill you for usage once you go over 10.00. I used it the whole 4 months from filing to discharge and have still not reached that amount. The key to not using it too much is to check the date of last filing every time you open, note it, and go no further unless the date has changed since the last time you were there. Also, when you open large files - like your case summary etc. - save it on your computer so you can look at it there and not have to pay for the pages each time you want to look back at something. I was happy to wait a few days to get my password in the mail in order to not give my debt card # to anyone!
