    ch 7 and savings bonds

    If I file ch 7 and my wife does not, can the bk court take savings bonds away from her that are in her name only?

    I don't believe so if you are not in a community property state. We cashed some bonds about 4 months before filing and it was no big deal.

      I'm not talking about cashing bonds in before we both file bankruptcy together. I'm talking about her keeping savings bonds in her name and me only filing ch 7.

        Assets in her name only are exempt.
