    dumb question...

When I filed, I just listed the original unsecured creditors. I think some have been sold to collection agencies after being charged off, but according to a couple of creditors who I called, this has just happened and they didn't know who the purchaser was.

I just listed the individual creditors--am I correct that if it's sold somewhere else the original creditor passes the info along stating I filed ch 7? I haven't gotten any mail etc. detailing the charge-offs/collection agencies, either, as of yet, since a lot of the charge-offs just happened.

Thanks, y'all--yes, I worry! I also didn't realize that it was suggested in the Nolo book to place creditors in Alpha order...oh well! The actual form didn't have that on the directions, so I don't think it's "wrong," but again--I worry!! I was more concerned in getting exact balances, account numbers and addresses. LOL

I think you did well. If you receive any notices about your account being sold you can add them to the petition for a small fee.

Hi Tabbygirl: Congrats on filing!!! A big relief that its over, I bet.

I wouldn't be concerned about the CAs that the original creditors sold their accounts to. I've read that sometimes they're sold many times, so it would probably be next to impossible to keep track of them all.

I also wouldn't be concerned that they're not in alphbetical order. The main thing is that they're all listed and the account info correct.
