    The long road is over?

We received our discharge today, nearly 2 years and 2 lawyers later! Is this the end?

We have a vehicle we need to sell, plus a hot tub we included that they never reposseed. Are we free to move on or is there another step waiting to attack me from behind!

    Hi there and CONGRATS!!!!

I would call your attorney and make sure it's okay before you start getting rid of stuff.

    Good Luck!

      Congratulations, indeed, are long overdue!!!!

But may I ask why 2 years and 2 lawyers? We've been almost 8 months waiting for our C7 discharge.

Congrats! Sounds like you're done, but I wouldn't do anything with the tub until closure..but that's just me. Ask your lawyer to be extra sure.

Thanks everyone. In response to AngelinaCat, we started 2 yrs ago in a different state. When we moved, we had paid the lawyer and everything was set. Then that lawyer dumped us! He didn't want the headache, so we found a GREAT lawyer here, and filed March 31st for a chapter 7. We had presumption of abuse, but things went extremely smooth! All debt was discharged on Aug. 5th, and we should be closed any day now.

The worst part was the original lawyer. After that, it was very smooth. Good luck in your case!

                    Hi jwsmartin:

I asked because our discharge was coming sooooooooooo long, and I thought, OMG, after all the idiocy, and we find out that our case needed the copy of our Marriage License that I tried to give our trustee, and he said he didn't need......... What happened with THIS case???

                    AAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!!

Anyway, YOU are DISCHARGED, and so are WE. Here's our celebratory Dance:

                    Enjoy and Congrats!!!!
