8/17/2007 is the magic day! Because the 17th is on Sunday, I would guess that tomorrow is the last day for any of the creditors to file an objection. Hopefully this is the case. At any rate, I have to wait at least until the 31st of August because about a month ago the trusty filed for and was granted a 30 extension. He claims to be looking for assets but as of now he has done nothing. He is looking at the homestead exemption and the retirement fund I have, but here in Texas they are clearly exempt.

From the way my attorney explained it to me is if the last day to file an objection falls on a weekend or a holiday then the next business day is the last day for an objection. I believe in your case the last day will be Monday the 18th.Originally posted by Flameout View PostFiled Ch 7 - 6/30/08

You could very well be correct, but reading the BK codes and such, it says 60 days and says nothing about weekends or holidays. I would think that there would be some wording in the law that would stipulate exactly what should happen if it does fall on a weekend or holiday. Its not that big of a deal because I am more concerned with the trustee nit picking than anything else.Comment
