    will i loose my home?

my 341 meeting is 8/23. my house payment is due 8/20, but i can not pay it until 8/26 when i get my paycheck.
my ? is.. do you think they will take my home for being like a week late on my payment? also, after you are discharged what are the limitations as far as being late on mortgage payments? i am so confused..

like, if you become 1 payment behind in the future... will they take your home?

will your house payment be 30 days late on the 20th? Or is that just the due date? Is there a grace period?

For instance, my mortgage is due on the 1st. I can pay it anytime up to the 15th however and not get assessed a late fee.

If that payment is received after the 15th, I get assessed the late fee, but it is not reported to the credit agencies as late. If I pay it after the 1st of the next month (30 days late), then we're in trouble.

no it will not be 30 days late then, i do have a 10 to 15 day grace period also. the actual due date is the 20th.

are you in a ch.7 as well? and are you saying that as long as it does not get to be 30 days late i should be okay?

I am also in the CHapter 7 process. I don't think that payments are actually considered late (and reported as such) until they are 30 days overdue.

I think you are good to go, just pay the mortgage when you get paid. I think what can force you into a 13 is if you are 30 days or more behind on the mortgage when you file.

In any event, why not give the mortgage company a call and let them know you will be making the payment when you get paid. If it were me, I would make the payment at that time electronically or over the phone. This way you will know they get the payment before the 1st of Sept. My lender does that thru Western Union for a $2.50 fee.
