I have been receiving child support for less than two years and have had payments missed. Its not money that I can count on to be there each month. Is the amount pro rated or is it assumed that it is regular income. Anyone deal with that before any insight?

Child support goes 2 places on the petition
First, child support is an asset that goes on Schedule B. Second, if you are receiving child support, then it goes on Schedule I (Statement of Income).
How irregular are the payments, and have you submitted your Child Support to the District Attorney, or other Child Support Enforcement agency to collect it for you.
But as a general matter, yes, child support is income.

I had to include my child support in our BK but still qualified for CH7 BK (child support was/is current now). In our state, I can look on the internet to see when the payment has been made (I ended up requesting garnishment as he was $7000.00 behind in payments), how much he has paid, and then I know what he still owes. I would suggest that if possible, see if you have internet access for your child support payments and print it off so you know how much you have gotten for your child. I would also like HHM stated, contact the Child Support Enforcement Agency and make sure it's reported. I spent ALOT of time pestering them and after about 9 months of it I finally started getting garnishements.
Good luck with this. I know how frustrating it all is!!!
