Lightening, WHY are you HERE? You seem to have all the answers, and all your answers are snide and full of self-righteousness and just plain hateful.
Those who post on this board are seeking help with their situation. We don't want nor appreciate your tone, which is insulting.
I would appreciate your going to a board where you can be of real help -- if you can find one -- and leaving us alone.

This will be my last comment on this cluttered thread, but Lightning has some valid points on bk abuse. However not everyone is abusing the system. Since I've been on this forum I have seen folks with serious illness, unemployment, marital problems, etc. I can afford to pay some of my debts so I will in a 13 and the hardship of it will teach me better financial management. A few cans of pet food a week isn't abuse as far as I'm concerned to save the life of a helpless animal:and the banks simply know what to do to stop the hemorrhaging of cash due to bk filings but they won't stop.

      I'm done...

Here!!!!!! Let me beat Lightening with my "ugly stick" again for being rude and crude........his "bedside manner" does SUCK!!!
Yes, I do agree with him about the abuse of the BK system by some......very few....
But I also agree that an animal needs a home - "like how much is he really going to eat....., Lightening??" Dog food is really not going to make a big dent in a grocery bill.....

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

Lightening - Are you really this mean or are you playing devil's advocate? Have you never had it hard? Do you have kids or a family? I'm sure they are perfect as are you. Well, I'm not perfect and neither is my life, but I do work hard and have done the best I could. I found a dog last month, it was half-starved. I fed it and have now given it a home. If I had just left the dog like it's previous owners, I couldn't have looked myself in the mirror. My cat I rescued from the humane society. I figure that it costs me 15 cents per day per animal to feed them and costs nothing to love them as my love is priceless. How much does your love cost? It sounds like the price is too high, might make somebody bankrupt. lol. Give people a break some, huh?

Ok, this thread has lost focus, so I am going to lock it.
