PACER Frustration

So - yeah! I filed, but now I'm trying to reap the awards of PACER and can't figure out how to work the darn thing!!

I registered, that went well. Have my user name and password, but how do I check on my case? I see a lot of "Civil" links, but no bankruptcy and searched my name but it says "Sorry no persons found."

Any help is appreciated, the document on how to use it isn't helping

Well mom's papers got sent in last night. I will be signing up for PACER any day now. The paralegal told mom that the court should have the case filed by Thursday, and mom should have her papers back by Friday. (that seems SO fast).

I think I'll go sign up for PACER and see what I can find out. Maybe we can walk each other through it.

OK, I found my local court, and at the top there's QUERY, I did that and nothing came up. (except a receipt for my .08c). Glad to know it's only QUERYS that get charged the .08c.

Since mom's papers were just sent in last night, they won't even get them till today. I'll check again after business hours tonight.

See - ours isn't listed as a bankruptcy court - just Eastern District, Wisconsin - maybe this is where my issues are coming in ...

Do a search under your SS# and it should bring up anything involving you.....
Really "Pacer" is very simple, don't make it difficult to use....
They have a section called "bankruptcy" - do a search under this!!
If you have trouble, let us know....

Problem may be that it's filed, but not posted yet to Pacer, especially if in the last 48 hours.......
