Chapter 7 help New here

I Have a couple of settlements against me, behind on my credit cards, and some collections.

If i file for chapter 7 do i still have to pay back all of this in payments.

I also have a car loan and a couple of credit cards i do not want to file on, will this have any effect on these.

Would like to add that my car is a 2008 ford f150 4x4 supercrew...

i owe $38,000.00 on still. I was $8000.00 upside down when i bought.
Retail on it at the highest is around $19,000.00 - $23,0000.00

If you file BK chapter 7 those CCs will be closed ALL of them. This is not a pick a choose thing
You must include all creditors in your filing
Chapter 7 wipes out most debt except student loans, back taxes and some fines its not a repayment plan you can keep the truck but you have to keep the payments up.
I have a hard time understanding why you would want to keep a truck that is so upside down. Fileing will get you out of all of that.

Guess i should of asked... will this effect the person that i co-signed with. Will it effect there accounts or show on their credit?

they will have full resposablity for the loan. If it shows up on thier CR I think you can have the BK removed from it. since they are not filing.
