Yikes, I paid 750.00 + 299.00 to file( 300 to retain then 450 later). It really bothered me he was so low. I questioned him about this and he said "WHAT??". We have not did any market research lately.. I told him I kept running into 1500 & 2000. So, why was he so cheep? He just said, we'll have to rectify it. I am in the area of Barry, Eaton and Ingham County.

Starting to think I got one right in the ear on this one! As if I don't feel bad enough. Not even sure I can get a 7 and might have to go the 13 route and now I'm thinking maybe I got hosed to boot.

The high average I have seen all over the U.S. is about $1500

for a CH 7. These fees you guys are paying are simply highway robbery. That means test can be filled out by an adolescent, it's just an excuse to gouge people out of money. The simple truth is that the latest revisions to BK are just a few more sheets of simple (nonsensical) forms, creating an 'illusion' of difficulty. Nothing much has changed, really. In fact? it's even simpler now for lawyers, due to improved computer capability, streamlined filing process, etc- so truly, the lawyer fee should be DECREASING!
