    Meeting of Creditors

I just had my 341 Meeting and all went great ! It took less than three minutes from the time we walked up to the time it was over! My best advice to y'all is to make sure that you are completely honest and well prepared! Go over everything at least three times to make sure everything is filled out correctly. It helps to have an attorney, or someone that has gone through the process before, to help you.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Honesty and being well prepared is about all you can do and let the system take it from there.
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....

You should bring your drivers license and social security card. At least that is what we had to bring. All of the bank statements, bills, etc. were already turned in to our attorney prior to the meeting.

Make sure you, or your lawyer, brings a copy of the entire petition. We went Pro Se, and the trustee used my copy to look at. He also couldn't find the page the court sent us with all the info on it. I had that also.

Our attorney told us to bring a copy of our ss card, dl, 1 years worth of bank statements, proof of insurance, 3 years of tax returns, and our copy of the paperwork. We were asked for none of this. We got there very early and heard probably 30 cases. The trustee did ask some people for additional information, most of them didn't bring anything and he gave them two weeks. Some cases were continued because they didn't have paperwork or information properly filled out or documented. Again, I feel it is better to be prepared than to sweat it out during the meeting and take the chance the trustee may want more indepth answers check further, which will delay the proceedings and cause you unneccessary stress.

All that our attorney told us to bring was our driver's lincense and social security card. We also brought our petition and all the paperwork that was sent to us by the court and our attorney. We didn't need it. I'm sure that every case is different, and you should be advised by your attorney at to what to bring. Our case was an open and shut case. No problems.

Now for the long waiting game until our discharge!
