    Put my boyfriends Assets down?

I am filing in a few months. I already have the paperwork. I am confused about the assets though. I live with my boyfriend in his house and mostly everything in the house is his. Do I still put them down on paper? Can they take his stuff?

    I am confused!!

Also I am an artist with a small online store. This is the first year I am going to include the self employment on my taxes. How is this going to complicate the case? I made maybe 2-4 k with self employment before deducting all of the losses and deductions. Some of my debt was accumulated using the cards to start up my business. I bought a computer, paid shipping and store fees with cards, bought inventory with cards...

How does this effect my case?

BK's take into consideration 4 things.
    Assets (the things you own)
    Liabilities (your debt)
    Income
    Expenses

When it comes to BK's where only one person is filing (i.e. one spouse filing but not the other) or a roomate situation...only the OTHER persons income and expenses are issues in YOUR BK.

So, to answer your questin, no, you would not list your boyfriends "assets", but you must account for his income and expenses because BK looks at "household" income.

I don't see how the self employments taxes effect anything at this point, you simply file your taxes as you normally would.

I was wondering about the income thing myself since all the cards use Houshold income. Will I need Tax statements from the other person in my household? They collect SSI and SS only and never file taxes. They did file last year to get the rebate but that was the only time in the last decade they filed.

I asked about this once too, when talking to an attorney, he told me that they only count the income of what the roomate/boyfriend contributes to the household. I hope that is correct.

Well I live in his house and pay him a flat amount every month. I hope this does not complicate things further!!
