How long would it take for the mortgage company to notify the courts you had not paid the mortgage, while awaiting discharge..
we are current but I also do not want to do the surrender house forms and have them contact the bankruptcy court... Discharge due feb 9th.. so wondering if I should pay Dec but not the Jan 17th payment as my discharge is due 3 weeks after that (feb 9th )and they may not contact court for a 3 week late?

If you are planning on letting the house go, don't make any more payments. The mortgage company isn't even going to think about foreclosure or anything until you are 3 months late so they won't notify the court of anything. They will only notify the court if they want a releif from the stay and even if that happens, it won't affect your BK case at all. Save your money.

so they normally do not notify the courts or ask for a relief from stay until 3 months missed payments?
