Trustee's Report of No Distribution

My 341 was Wednesday, Jan. 7th and I checked Pacer today and it says:

"Awaiting Discharge" and shows the Trustee's Report of No Distribution!

I am so relieved. I filed pro se and although the 341 meeting went well (and fast......lol) one thing the Trustee said at the end made me wonder if I was in the clear. When asked if I had ever filed bankruptcy before I stated "Yes, Ch. 7 in November 2000" and he said something like "And you just happened to file again exactly 8 years later?" I said it just ended up that way but after I left I thought I should have said "Well I certainly hoped I'd never be in this situation again" or something like that. Oh well, it all turned out ok.

What a relief! I guess I'm officialy in the 60 day club now!

Actually, and I hate to say it, but I have to agree with the Trustee's comment. No disrespect but you have not heeded what happened before. Not knowing your circumstances, please forgive my critique, but on the surface, it is odd. Respectfully, 'Hub

Never mind 'Hub. (Sorry 'Hub) We never know what circumstances will occur to bring us here. Hopefully, we all learn to make better choices.

LOL.......it's ok, I understand what you are saying. I was actually doing really well reestablishing myself, making more money and paying all my bills. But then our apartments got turned into condos and we were forced to move. I was pregnant at the time and we wanted to have a yard and more space for the kids so we rented a house. We were told 2 1/2 months later (while I was in the hospital after having my c-section) the owners were divorcing and they were selling. So we moved again. I stopped receiving my child support for my older daughter during this period as well. A year later, we decided to move back to the Bay Area while my DH was in school and taking care of our toddler so I could make more money ($15k salary increase) to support the family. As you can imagine, all of the moving costs really ate into our budget. My DH has been unable to find a job thus far, though he had an interview today so we're keeping our fingers crossed. This past October I stopped receiving my child support again which is what pushed us over the edge since our budget was very tight already. We were making it and able to keep up until then.

So while I understand your statement, I truly did not intend to be in this situation again! Most of my debt is student loans which are not discharged anyways, but I did have a car repo which left me a large deficiency balance which is the primary reason I filed.
