341 is a few weeks away, what would you bring?

so far i haven't been contacted regarding additional information the trustee needs for our case. our 341 meeting is scheduled for 1/29. we got a tax turnover notice and mailed our 2007 tax return to the trustee. however, i've heard of people being asked for add'l information and since i'd like this over sooner rather than later, i'm trying to make copies of all information i have that might be of use to the trustee when our meeting rolls around. so far, i've got on my list:

1 year of bank statements
most recent CC statements (or those showing the most recent activity, so a few months old)
2005 and 2006 tax returns
1 year paystubs (we filed 60 days' worth with our petition)
copy of my divorce decree with proof of child support obligation

is there anything you would add or modify? for reference, we're no asset, no house and one old paid off car, no "large purchases" or no where near means income for our state.

If your attorney has all that you listed, you should be fine. The trustee should already have copies of all that. Bring your Social Security Card and your Driver's License as Willsurvive suggested. You will be asked to show that.

So far as I know, 'Hub and I were the ONLY ones asked to bring a copy of our marriage license because we use different surnames.

Dress conservatively, but professionally--business casual seems to work the best. Leave any flashy jewlery or accessories, such as designer hand-bags at home.

Leave plenty early so you don't have to deal with traffic or parking problems.

You sound well prepared. I brought to my 341-- my passport and a 2007 W2! (Couldn't find my ss card)

My case sounds similar to yours, well below the median, no assets, no real property, nada.

All I was asked for was my ID and SS proof.

If you filed Pro-Se, bring a pen, you may need to fill out a simple form asking a few easy questions about your petition.

Since I was lucky enough to be one of the last ones called, I had the wonderful experience of sitting through many hearings. (Actually it was kind of interesting) Of about the 20 or so people that I watched get interviewed by the Trustee, only one couple were asked for more info and issued a continuence. However these people were CLEARLY hiding assets.


Another note, I arrived about 40 minutes early, so I wouldn't be late and to possibly listen in on a few cases. I wish I would have checked to see when the first hearing started for the day, because I just had to stand outside in the cold and wait until the room opened as my hearing time was the first slot for the day.
