ride thru on an auto in Missouri

Has anyone in MO (eastern district) tried to do a ride thru in the recent past in this area? I'd very much like to, but the attny office seems to think i need to reaffirm or surrender.

Seems in recent posts people are being told to reaffirm or surrender and not given the ride thru option. Our payment on this auto is under 200 per mo. and we are not upside down, I'd just like the option of giving it back if we became even more strapped for money than we currently are.

    thanks

I think with the new laws you don't technically have the option to ride-through, but some posters have mentioned that there attorneys wrote in special language on their petitions indicating that they would continue to pay based on the terms of the original agreement. In some cases people have indicated a desire to reaffirm, but if the actual reaffirmation agreement doesn't get signed/filed, then it's the same as doing a ride through.

I am in the same boat

in CT if anyone wants to chime in.... I was thinking of just not sending the paperwork, even though my statement of intention was to reaffirm, but someone on here said you could be sued by the creditor for that... so not really sure....

it is a pain in the neck all of it..
