help on a question on form

I am filling out my paperwork and having trouble with one question. On the Statment of Financial Affairs Information Page, it asks....

List each payment of money or transfer of property you or your spouse have made within the last 365 days to (or for the benefit of) a relative, or business associate of any kind, any amount, of any kind for any reason whatsoever without any exceptions. This includes paying back debts, loaning money, paying wages or rent to them or just giving money or property away.

On April 22. 2008 we did a balance transfer from my mom's Chase card (had a balance of 0)into our checking account.(with her permission of course!) It was for 6500.00

We made the minimum payment on the card for 2 months and then on June20th we paid it off in the amount of 6600. This money came from our checking account and went right onto the Chase card. So it paid it off.

Would I have to list this? She has no idea we are filing bk and I really don;t want her to know so it would be awesome if I did not have to list it.

I think the answer to your question is right in the directions?

I just wondered since it says to a relative and we made it to chase.

i mean no malice or offense, but your lawyer should be able to help you with most of the questions you've posted recently. i'll be the first to sing my praises for this forum and the contributors, but if you are paying an attorney to handle your case, you should always verify information you receive here with him. on any given subject, you will find ten different answers or ten interpretations of the law from ten different members of the forum. your attorney is a great resource, especially with paperwork questions. there's a reason they make so much money!
filed ch7 pro-se on 12/22/08, 341 meeting on 1/29/09, changed from no-asset to asset case on 2/18/09, DISCHARGED on 4/3/09.

It takes me a week to get ahold of him. I did consults and he was the best I could find. Sometimes no call back at all. By the time the phone call finally comes I forgot what I wanted to ask especially since our situation is so crazy. Sorry for asking.

don't apologize! this forum exists for a reason. it's just frustrating to see so much speculation and state-specific advice (which may or may NOT be pertinent to your situation or state) when some of your questions are so involved. perhaps not this one but some of the ones you've posted recently. i worry about the amount of work YOU are doing and the lack of guidance you are getting from an attorney you've already hired, ya know what i mean?

in short, i'm sorry you couldn't find a better attorney. i sure as hell wouldn't pay someone who doesn't answer my calls for a week, though!

I don't know if lawyers are overworked here with bk or not but we heard our is good--and he is except that you can never talk to him. His staff answers and sometimes they get the messages to him...sometimes they don't.

I figure I might as well try to figure it out on my own
