Title Question, PLESE HELP

Hi all.
I will be filing a chapter 7 shortly with 1 asset that is close to the exemption allowance, so a family member will be buying the difference out through the trustee.
My question is that this is a trailer with a title.
I own the trailer, but the bank lost the title and I haven't been able to get a duplicate yet.
I thought I remembered someone on here saying that they lost their mobile home because they owned it but didn't have the title.
Is it ok for me to file before I have the title?
I had a consultation with an attorney and he didn't seem worried about it.
But I'am.

The title should be recorded somewhere (the DMV for Mobile Homes)...so even if the bank doesn't have it, some state agency should have it. (I imagine you can request a duplicate title like you can at the DMV for cars or for real estate on a county recorders office)

The other person you speak of problem was that the title was never recorded properly and didn't show them as the owner, so that is why they lost the mobile home.
