Post filing -question:
I filed in Oct. - Received a nice size check in November. That check is still locked in my file cabinet uncashed. We thought it would be best to not cash it until after discharge. Your thoughts?Chapter 7 filed 10/21/2008
341 - 11/26 went smooth
NO ASSET
Took 115 days after 341 - But Finally DISCHARGED 3/25/09

relief, I wouldn't be posting anything that can be construed as any kind of fraud or whatnot on this forum. You are NOT anonymous here, none of us truly are.
(altho I think the others are right, I don't think it is--but YOU obviously think so.. so, if something gives you second thought, don't post it!)

How about this situation?
Looking to file in February with my prior 6 months of income. (Aug-Jan)
Received a 1 time bonus in July for referring a new employee and
will be getting a bonus for the year end on February 1st.
Do I need to tell the trustee of the bonus?
I am doing a chapter 13 and it will probably affect my plan by over $400 a month.
He will see my tax return and see the income.
I have a call in to my lawyer about this so we will see his opinion. He is a normal guy and not a salesman at all so I am guessing he would want to tell the trustee even though he does not need to.
Of course if the trustee asks me if I received a bonus, I would have to tell him the truth.
