    Upcoming 341..

Well i have a few days before my meeting on the 20th.

Right now its a no-asset case, my car is worth less then the allowed $2500 but i sent him the title anyway just to prove what I own. (I hope he gives the title back at the meeting)

Looks like on the 20th the court here is raising the filing fee from $209 to $250 for chapter 7.

With this and going through a divorce its not fun at all, at least I have her somewhat agreeing on the bankruptcy.

I havent heard anything from the trustee except right after filing requesting bank statements, car titles and tax returns. Is it normal not to hear anything until the meeting? (Clerk said they schedule 2 meetings every 15 minutes)

It is perfectly normal to get a letter from a trustee requesting tax returns, bank statements, titles, etc. You typically won't hear from the trustee before the 341 meeting.

Copies instead of original documents, i.e. title, are most appropriate for the trustee and protects you against loss also.

Good luck with your upcoming meeting...the courts seemed swamped right now. I just had my 341 this week and all went fantastic. Go prepared but relax as 99% of them go off without a hitch! Best of luck with all thats goin on with ya!

          Thanks for the support.

Does anyone know if you can still add a creditor and or change an address for one after your 341 meeting?

Kentuckys website shows a $26 charge for doing this but isnt specific on a timeline for doing so.

yes until the date of discharge you can amend your schedule F, list of creditor's in most states for a fee of $26. Only thing is make sure you also send a letter with it certifying that you sent the additional creditors the notice of bankruptcy and amendment to include them (this is your responsibility now not the court for the additional creditors). That's all I did.

I have made all the documents requested by my trustee available in pdf form to my lawyer, and I made hard paper copies for a file for myself and for the lawyer; we will provide these to the trustee at the 341 hearing.

I scanned them and put them into pdf files to insure against loss. My tax returns were already pdf files, as I do my own taxes using Turbo Tax software.
              Filed Chapter 7, 8/16/05, 341 10/12/05
              Discharged 2/16/06, Case Closed 3/8/06
FICA Score (Equifax) as of 10/13/06 - 645
              (It was 506 on 10/12/05)

OK so does anyone know if I just make a new schedule F with the new creditors/changed address or a corrected one with all the originals on there + the new ones?

Going to call the bankruptcy clerk tommorow about this but since my 341 is on tuesday i would like to get this in asap. The creditor has already been informed of the bankruptcy just need to add them and change an address.

                Thanks.

yes, at least in my state, CT, all I did was create an amended Schedule F, just added that creditor to the bottom of my schedule F and to my creditor matrix and put clearly on the top of every sheet amendment. Sent the amended schedule F in with the amended creditor matrix, a letter certifying that the new creditor was notified with my signature at the bottom, and a check for $26.00. That was all.
