    Notice to creditor undeliverable

I just received this, this was supposed to be mailed to one of my creditors and it came back to me, this was the notice of the 341 meeting, which I had already. If I send it to the correct address, will this delay my case, since they didn't get this notice on time? I am supposed to be discharged on 3/24.

Same thing happened to me and I had 5 of them not receive notice. I contacted my attorney and he filed an amended schedule after we verified all the addresses were correct. This did not delay my case at all.

This happened to you after your creditors' meeting? I don't have an attorney, I used legal aid services, but they are not willing to help me.

That is one of the problems of using legal aid. You need to take action, so that your Credit Report will be as clean as possible when this is done. Research better addresses and type them on a piece of paper like labels, make a three or four copies and it would be best to call the BK court and find out what they require to amend your creditor matrix, but you can go in as well. There may be a fee for this, it varies, but the important thing is the creditors need to be noticed so it doesn't haunt you later. At a bare minimum, send the creditors a copy of your 341 Notice of Meeting of Creditors certified and keep the records, to show proof of delivery.

        Good Luck
Disclaimer: I am not an actor on TV, but I play a BK Paralegal in real life. Nothing I say should be construed as legal advice, or really anything but entertainment. Please seek out professional help.

Wait, so you are saying that if we don't have the mail delivered we cannot fix our credit?!

I spoke to someone who works there and she said not to do anything. Well I plan to resend the letter to the correct address but I am worried because I already had the creditors' meeting and this should have got to them before that and I get this back to me now!
