    Stop paying on Truck

No one within 3 hours wants to give me a written appraisal on my truck and I'm not even sure if a Carmax will because of the hail damage. I have not been discharged and I probably won't be for atleast another month. I was wondering could I get in any touble if I just stop making payments on my truck and let the bank come and repo it? I never signed a reaffermation agreement on it. One of my family members told me they would lend me $8k for a vehicle interest free. I just want to get out from uner my upsidedown loan.

Pig, did you list the truck in your filing?

    Did you use an Attorney?

I ask because if you were not planning on keeping the truck, why have you still been making payments on it? My Attorney told me to stop payments on everything I was including in BK and not keeping. - jb

Don't reaffirm the vehicle, don't redeem it - if its underwater just give it back and get something else with the help of your family. There are lots of vehicles for less than $8k that are in great shape/condition.

I am not an attorney. None of my advice is legal advice in any way..
