    Paid the lawyer in full!!!

I am soo happy since I finally paid the lawyer in full. I had to get behind on student loans, cell phone, not eat, and sell some personal items to come up with the last bit but I did it!

He says that he will be filing today or tomorrow!!!

I am still afraid the credit union will take my car but I am taking it one step at a time.

I never felt so happy to pay someone 1500.00

    You are almost there!

Congratulations on getting the last of your funds to the attorney...it has got to be a relief for you now. Just think, a couple of more days and you will have put this filing behind you!
    Filed CH 7 9/30/2008
    Discharged Jan 5, 2009! Closed Jan 18, 2009

I am not an attorney. None of my advice is legal advice in any way..

You could either reaffirm the loan through the CU or redeem at the current market value through 722 Redemption. Just be careful with the CU if you raffirm to be sure they waive any cross-collateralization if you have other credit accounts with them.

Thanks. I know about the cross-collateralization. I hope they drop it. Sometimes I wish I could walk away from the car and have no car payment but I cannot even go a month without a car since I would have no way to get to work.

I spoke with 722 redemption but since I am not upside down I do not think it would help me. I did apply for a car loan with them in case the credit union does not let me keep the car. It is my back up plan but I have yet to be approved.
