In all honesty, I'm not nervous - but I can't sleep either. I've done yoga, exercised and just tried to breathe to no avail. I'll be at the gym at 4:30 but still waiting for the zzzzs to check in. I can't wait for it to be done and over with!

Didn't get much sleep, but I'm overly prepared - copies of petition, bills, etc to bring along as well besides drivers license, ss card and bank statements. I'm assuming there is a high chance I'll walk in and the trustee will have to withdrawl due to her ties with my case. I can't believe it's here! If all goes well I'm a mere 2 hrs on my way to getting out of debt!

Well, I was the first one to go and it went pretty well. Nothing to really be afraid of - although the whole swearing in thing is a bit spooky. Standard questions - about 20 of them .... did I sign? Is the information correct? Have I used the cards in the last 90 days? What was the total amount (I said yes)? Do you understand the ramifications? Have you transferred property in the last 4 years? - that one through me for a loop. I said no, but then realized I did sell my first car about three years ago and I started freaking out about perjury. I think it should be all okay though.
Besides that, no creditors showed

Don't worry about this. You most likely sold your car for FMV. You could sell a car for FMV a week before filing which is ok. They just don't want you to transfer it to an insider below FMV and you still use the car.

Thanks HH
That completely makes sense. I won't be too worried.
Details on the credit card ...
The guy that went before me had used his credit card AFTER he filed bankruptcy, trustee didn't like that all that much. She wanted to know what he had used it for and how much. He didn't know.
When it was my turn, I said yes - I had used it within 90 days of filing. She asked what for? I said food and gas. She asked do I know how much? Around $150 on three cards (not much budge room here - they were maxed out!). She moved on - it's really not that bad ... we didn't have many filers - only four in our hour, my questioning lasted around 10 minutes tops.

The Trustee was PISSED that the guy before me used his - but I think if it's for necessity, it's not that big of a deal. She told the guy behind me that he would have to pay all the charges back; however, she did not say this to me. I had literally used mine the week before I decided to file - it had only been two weeks since I used it when I started to file and a month before the paperwork got done and in. I think you should be okay concerned.
Sunshine - you were right, LOL. Although, I am wired now - I just got done with my mentoring program for some college kids
It went so well, which makes me so happy! I like being that person to look up to - may not be in a financial matter, but at least in a professional one I can do it.

I don't think that is necessary a fair assessment. Sometimes we don't always make the best choices, life is not perfect. (alcoholics and drug addicts make the best counselors, so I am told) I think all we can do learn from our mistakes and move on. (don't tell lightening I said that either, course I think he isn't arround much lately) We have all been penalized to some extent for filing bankruptcy.
Sit back and wait for your discharge. It isn't as long as it has been.
To concerned - it is my understanding that debt charged within a certain period of filing is nondischargable. That is probably decided by the amount, the trustee and the creditor. Necessities(why & waht for that you used the cards for, the amount, etc. are factors also. You gotta quit using those cards sometime.
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....
