    My credit score is 751

And I go in Thursday to file. I'm just late on my bills so it hasn't hurt my credit yet. I made 4032.90 in wages this year. My bills are about 1200 a month. So far I cashed in my life insurance, sold my motorcycle, cashed in an investment account, and ebayed all my odds and ends. My business costs $6000 to run and I'm not sure how I made it this far. Today in the mail, Citi has upped my credit to 25,000.

We put alot of value into having a good credit score, but has anyone ever seen a credit score on a headstone? There are more important things in life. If you're not preparing to buy something major, its probably not an issue at all.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

          Mr Man,
Before you consider filing bankruptcy, are there any other possible ways that you could bring in significantly more income?

One of the reasons that I ask this is because I know two people that own a business that has not brought in enough money to pay their expenses, for years now.

In fact, their landlord should have evicted them long ago, but he liked them, plus they had done a great deal of renovations on the office space.

To make a long story short, they were finally evicted and are now starting over in a much, much smaller office across the street.

My point, one partner has extensive education and experience in computer programming and repair, and the other was a college professor.

I often asked myself, "Why didn't one of them go out and get a job, or why didn't both of them keep part-time jobs that they could work around their (computer repair) business?"

I'm just wondering if there is any way that you could avoid bankruptcy. I wish I could have avoided it myself.

No, I moved out of an office cut all expenses and then my business got even worse. My bills all total with the business are around 2k, I'm only making $100 a week. Our houshold imcome with my wife, and 3 kids is 21,000. My expenses without hers is $20,000, I would need a tenfold increase in income. I can't lie that much to get that kind of business, I've also been trying for other work. The best pay for start around here, still leaves me bankrupt. I still think this is fine, it's like shutting off alchohol for an alchoholic--just what the doctor ordered.
