Question about 341 meeting

Read many posts about the 341 but this question is about time spent in the courthouse.

Let's say your 341 meeting is scheduled for 9am. Are there a bunch of people who's 341 is scheduled at 9am, and you wait to get your name called? How long have people waited? I work and need to know what kind of time to request off. If it's at 9 will I possibly sit around until 11 or later?

Mine was at 4 o'clock. There are many people who have a 4 o'clock hearing. I finally got called up at 4:30 and was out of there before 4:35. My trustee was running a little behind too. It should not be more than an hour. I guess it depends on your travel time to and from the courthouse. Good luck.

Yes, there's a bunch of other people there with you. Mine was at 1pm, we arrived at 12:30 for final discussion with our lawyer. There was probably 10-12 other people/couples and we were the second to last called in...left at 2:30pm. It's not the same everywhere, sometimes more people, sometimes less...but with the impending law changes coming up, there are likely more people trying to file under the old laws. I just scheduled the day off since it was the middle of the day.
