Teri, as you know I have the same concerns as you do. Our income came in at around 6400 for a family of five. Expenses around 6700, I think. Anyway, these entries are making me feel a little better. I hope they are for you, too. Try not to sweat it. I know it's hard. I was listening to Dennis Prager on am 710 the other day. His three essentials for happiness: Be the captain of your own ship; use common sense; don't panic. Since I heard that, I am just trying to kick back and not worry.

You all are awesome! We filed our papers yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the people were at the Bankruptcy Court. We had a nice conversation with the women who took care of us. We laughed because she was so nice - I told her, "we are federal employees also and we always get a bad wrap too, but you guys are great". I was also surprised at all the security - I guess most all federal buildings (we don't because we are at a medical center). The overtime thing has been pretty consistant over the last several years, that is why I added it in. I am on-call 24-7 (I know - not really a requirement, but I am pretty dedicated to my job). If there are any heating/ventialation problems I am paged, so as long as things work I am not called....you just never know when they will finally get all the problems taken care of. I also do work a lot of other overtime just because we need the money, but I would like to get away from that. Anyway----sorry for rambling, ya'll just kinda made my Saturday morning (at work) a little better.
