Does anyone know anything more about this website? Have any of you tried it, or gone with something similar to clean up your credit? And now that we're about a week past discharge, should we start cleaning it up now? Or wait till our case is closed and dismissed?

Read the sticky.
I wouldn't trust my credit report with a complete stranger. There's nothing that he can do for you that you can't do yourself for free and with a little time. If you've already gotten your 3 free credit reports this year, you'll have to pay for them...I believe they will refund your money if there is incorrect info on them and you dispute it sucessfully though. It's been about 4 months since my discharge...I decided to wait until now to make sure everything related to the BK was reported. I've got a few that say "chargeoff" or similar wording, that's wrong.

Yeah, after i did some looking around, I found that it would be just as good to do it myself. I think I might wait a little longer to start cleaning up my credit like you said, DISCHARGED. To make sure everything thats BK related is reported. I was discharged on the 24th of September. Thanks guys.Natalie

Well, actually, I just looked thru all the postings in the link from discharged. and I have a new question. i had a post a while ago about some jewelry we had, but lost one of the pieces. Our Lawyers secretary advised to just wait until they wanted money. I was looking at my credit report and it says the "charge off" on the account. Now, from what I'v elearned, that's bad. But we didn't include the jewelry in the BK. So, what's going on? Has it gone to collections? Have they given up? Should we try to get it off our credit?Natalie

Hmmm, charge offs are worse from what I've learned also. Yes, since it wasn't included in the BK, they probably saw you filed BK and figured they wouldn't get their money. If it were me, I would call the creditor and find out what it would take to clear up the debt. Say you owed $1000 when they wrote it off...kinda bargain with them, most will be happy to settle for a lower amount. The key is to find out what kind of payments/money it will take them to list it as "paid as agreed" when the payments are complete. Make sure you get it in writing before agreeing with anything, very important. Maybe HHM will drop by to share more thoughts on this.Originally posted by ndbiglerWell, actually, I just looked thru all the postings in the link from discharged. and I have a new question. i had a post a while ago about some jewelry we had, but lost one of the pieces.
