NC Wildcard Exemption

Does anyone know for sure about doubling a wildcard exemption in North Carolina? It says that one can clain an exemption up to $3500 on any property minus the Homestead exemption ($10000) which can be doubled if both spouses file. Does that mean that the wildcard can also be doubled?
