Yee haw! I FINALLY GOT SERVED in a lawsuit!

I haven't filed Ch. 7 yet. Hopefully in July. But at the end of February I was served.

I found my info in the court records. Can somebody tell me what all this means? (Maybe Bigboy can step in and drop some knowledge)

Here's all of the info (minus the dates and I blocked out name of people/mtg company so nothing can identify me)

So what does all of this stuff mean? What's going to happen? Will I be served again or is it unnecessary? Do I not have to do anything from this point on?

Its a foreclosure filing....seeing as how you are in Florida it will probably take a year or more for them to get a judgment.

I will be including them in the Chapter 7. If I get an actual discharge, does that mean no judgment?

Because we made almost twice the median in December from a Christmas bonus. My lawyer said to file in July so that way I can use the income from January to June. Most all should be $1,000 or so under the median. The median is about $4200/mo. in Florida - $25,000 in 6 months. We were like $30,000 or so if I do it now.

Once you file Chapter 7, even if they managed to foreclose before your intended filing date, any deficiency balance would be discharged and you'd be in the clear.

            Stick with your plan .
May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
            July 2nd, 2007: 341 Meeting Held
September 4th, 2007: Discharged and Closed.

This will be so much fun! I can't wait!

Now if I could just stay here rent-free for 24 months while this storm is going on, that will save me 24 x $1100/mo.

              SWEET!
