    Living Expenses Budget

We reviewed our paperwork from our attorney and our income versus expenses budget didn't include clothing or laundry. Both were listed with a 0 next to them. I guess I can understand why laundry might not be factored in, but I didn't understand why clothing wasn't included. Our living expenses each month exceed our income by $200 so I was thinking that he didn't need to factor in a figure for this since we are already spending more than we earn. Could this be the reason?

Your attorney should include all the expenses you gave him-even if you're too tight on $$ right now w/ pre-BK situation to realisitically afford it. Failing to include your reasonable expenses can hurt you-such as if the trustee argues w/ some of your expenses & that increases your available income.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

Oh, I guess I never thought of that, but it does make sense. I will contact the attorney and mention this to him. Thanks for the tip!

I guess a good rule of thumb is that skimping on things (in our household, clothing & entertainment get skipped most of the time) does not mean that you don't need $$ for those things.
