I had my 341 meeting this afternoon. Was scheduled for 1:30 but had about nine people in front of me,so didn't start till 2:30. Mood in the room was like a funeral parlor. Trustee was hard on some and easier on others. think she was tired by the time she got to me,so mine was relatively easy. I didn't get asked some of the troubling questions some had to endure. Attorney said all went well and now have to sweat out 60 day period to discharge. Will be so glad when this is over. Court here in Tampa packed with filers, so glad I got in before law changes. I would encourage all to file now before change. This is not something I ever want to go through again. Some people got asked questions I never expected, like how much did they pay for security deposit on apartment or what size is the stone in your wedding ring etc. Having some of the people in front of me go through hell really knotted up my stomach, also attorney showed up five minutes before I was called, but was such a relief when he got there. Survived the day,but am still an emotional wreck and will be until this nightmare is over.

Filing in Fl
I am glad to hear your 341 was fairly easy. My papers were filed today in Tampa. I wondered how hard the trustees were there. My attorney said it all depended on the trustee, some very easy-some horrendous. I am praying I get a nice one. I have not had a good nights sleep in weeks. Did you have to furnish bank statements and pay stubs? I am trying to get those in order just in case. Hope your 60 days go smoothly!

angel: Think the issue about the stone in the ring, the trustee was probably wondering what the ring was worth, especially depending on what they stated in the petition it was worth. Also think that the trustee's mood swayed by how complete the paperwork was filled out the "red flags" that he may have thought needed more answers.
I can understand the no sleep, the anxiety, etc. We got our discharge, but I still get anxious going to the mailbox.
We started getting car payment notices, the stopped when we filed. All is starting to fall in place. Got our discharge a month ago.
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....

I had mine today too. I was prepared to deal with metal detectors but the meeting room was in an office building away from the courthouse so there was none of that to worry about.
About eight people were before me, the only non-standard questions were from two people with very high unsecured debt that he asked how they got there, but after they answered that was it, so not even a big deal for them.
No one was up there more than 2 minutes.
