My 341 is tomorrow and I have lost my ss card! Is there anything else I can use to prove my status that the courts will accept? I am in Florida. Also, I am filing Pro Se and have not received anything from the courts requiring me to provide any further documentation. Do I need to bring anything else?

Unsure of the SS card problem...When i had my meeting they wanted my SS. Card and Drivers Liscense. That was in Georgia...Unsure of Florida...I would call the clerks office immediately before it gets 4:30 and ask if there is any way to extend the 341 meeting or what you have to file in order to get an extension...If not they have the means of throwing out your case if you dont provide you SS.Card...Definitely call the US Bankruptcy court office right now and explain to them your problem...Maybe you could even look up the Trustee who is working your case and give him/her a call...That number should be public information...Look under PACER for that...Originally posted by uf101My 341 is tomorrow and I have lost my ss card! Our trustee was making people go to the SS administration and get a new card if they couldn't make it back before he left for the day, he was continuing the case to November 10th. He was not accepting anything other than SS cards.
You don't actually get a printed card at the SS administration (it comes in the mail) but they do give you a temp print out that's accepted by the trustee.

Just make sure and check you can get a print out, here in Illinois they DO NOT give out the printouts anymore. You have to wait for your card to come in the mail. About 7-10 days. When I got married back in 99 they gave out the print out and stamped it so I could take it to the DMV and get my license changed. Well hubby lost his ss # and went to get a new one ordered, and they did not give him a print out, I stepped up and asked since when, I had gotten one before? They said it is now a confidentiality thing

I don't know if this will help, saw the advice about the w-2. Take you tax returns, if your paystub has that info, also take that. But where I work they make a copy of the social security card and keep it on file at the office. Possiblity they may not need it or if you have all the above maybe they will take it. If they postpone it is not a catastrophe. File for a new one and chew a couple more fingernails in the process.
Let us know if they take that or how it turns out.
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....
