Some background....Filed Ch 7 Pro Se in March and indicated that I would reaffirm car loan with Drive Financial (Santander USA).
They have sent the reaffirmation agreement and I have been debating signing it or just forcing the issue of a ride thru by ignoring it. Been making the payments on time (PITA having to call them and pay by phone). Can't get them to tell me if they will report payments to the credit bureaus after reaffirmation.
I have to have a car for work, but I'm not in love with the current car and I'll be upside down by a couple of grand if I reaffirm this one. Current payment is certainly affordable (less than 300/month) but I see some repairs coming sooner than later.
Buying a $1000 car is not really an option because I need something reliable to travel fairly long distances several times a year.
My real question is since Texas is in one of the Districts that doesn't support ride thru has anyone had experience trying it? Also, has anyone tried it with Drive Financial?
Guess I need to get off the fence, as I have been in the 60 day club for almost a month.
