I have a question DW and I are being sued for a hospital bill the the court date is 9:00 am on June 26th I called my Lawyer and he said that we will file on July 1.
I am unemployed and DW is still working she won't be paid until July 3rd.
So there's six days between the judgment and our filing how fast will they be able to get a garnishment once the judgment comes down and our filing?
Is it anything to worry about?
They don't know I'm laid off,we changed banks and I plan to take most of my money out of the bank before the court date I'll be putting it back after I'm protected by the court.
I just wanted to know if they will get anything from me in that six day window or is my money safe, what little I have?
I've been worrying about this being the time window is so small.
