My parents had to do it twice... totally a contributing factor to my spending habits... I was raised by people who couldn't manage their funds and it rubbed off a bit onto me... now I just need to do what they could not do and get myself on the right track.

I hope this doesn't come across judgmental because it's totally not meant to be, but I was really surprised by the number of people who had applied for bankruptcy before. At least 3 of the 8 people before me answered that they had applied for bankruptcy before. It's nice that the option exists but honestly, I hope I never have to go through this again!
