    Payment agreement with IRS

I read here somewhere, can't find it now, that the IRS sends out a letter after you file telling you not to pay until discharge?
Can anyone fill me in about this?
I have a payment plan with the IRS and the state on 2006 and 2008 taxes.

Yes, they do. You won't pay anything to them while you are in BK. Once you are discharged, then you will get paperwork notifying you what you owe and they usually threaten that they want the total amount. Go back to your payment plan, get all the account numbers together that you need and call the IRS. You can reinstate the payment plan.

That is what 'Hub and I did. Florida does not have a State Income Tax--yet!--so I can't address the state issue.

If you have a CPA, they can also assist you.

    Good luck!
